Corporate Profile SilenceNet, .located in Yokohama operates Auto-ID Products import, distribution and support in the Japanese market. The major products are barcode and 2D code scanners, scanner engines and label printers produced by US manufacturers Microscan (www.microscan.com), Intermec (www.intermec.com), Metrologic (www.metrologic.com) and JADAK Technologies (www.jadaktech.com). Through the years, SilenceNet activities are dedicated to solving business challenges based on a thorough understanding of respective customerfs complex requirements and the ambitious goals. Our major customers are world leading corporations such as Toshiba, Panasonic, NEC, Hitachi, Fujitsu, IBM, Honda and so on. We took over the Auto-ID business from Panasonicfs division company, Matsushita Techno Trading on January 1st. 2003. Our mission is to provide solutions as well as services in Auto-ID word and to supply an appropriate product for a respective customer. Our corporate policy is to put always customers first.
Management Team Ted Chida, , President and CEO: Ted Chida joined SilenceNet as COO in March 2002 and brings over 30 years international business experiences. On June 27, 2007 he became President and CEO and is responsible for directing daily operations and building the company into a leading provider of Auto-ID industry. Prior to SilenceNet, he had a distinguished career at Panasonic that began in 1971. His role at Panasonic was international business development of electronic measuring instrument, information equipment as well as scientific and dynamic testing software products. From 1995 to 1998, he transferred from Panasonic to the Japanese Government as a Senior Trade Advisor in United States at JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization). From 1969 to 1971, he served as a research engineer for speech communication at The Research Institute of Electrical Communication of Tohoku University. Eijiro Itoh, Advisor on Board: Eijiro Itoh is a founder of the company and former President until June 2007. He joined Matsushita Inter-Techno, a division company to Panasonic in 1974 and left in 2000. In 1975 he started import business of information equipment at Matsushita from US. A worthy job of special mention was initial market development on barcode equipment in the Japanese market through enlightenment activities and the products sales in their early stage of introduction into the market. He dedicated his life for Auto-ID business expansion at Matsushita. In May 2000, he founded the company. |
